Austin Meade Takes Us Back To The High School Days With New Single, “Varsity Type”

It ain’t a secret that the Texas country rock scene is booming right now.

We’re talking names like Koe Wetzel, Giovannie and the Hired Guns, Kolby Cooper, Slade Coulter, Dylan Wheeler, Kody West, and so many others, have all developed rabid fanbases in the Lonestar State and beyond.

With that being said, there’s another name that’s been killing the game as well, and it’s none other than Austin Meade.

Perhaps best-known for his kickass collab with Koe Wetzel, “Happier Alone,” the man released a knockout album titled Black Sheep last year.

And today, he dropped a brand new song titled “Varsity Type.”

As is most of his music, it’s a good ol’ fashioned rocker, and reminds us of the memorable times (or, not so memorable) times of high school, and dealing with those relationships as a teenager.
