Colin Kaepernick is finally getting his opportunity to show if he’s got anything left in the tank as an NFL quarterback, as he’s currently working out for the Las Vegas Raiders.
The former San Francisco 49ers QB has been trying to get back into the league for some time now, which some may find ironic considering he compared the NFL to slavery in his Netflix special.
Nevertheless, he’s getting a shot for the first time since departing from the league six years ago.
Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk made some, well, rather intriguing and bold takes about Kap’s NFL potential from here on out, stating in a tweet:
“Colin Kaepernick, with time to knock off the rust and prepare, would be better than any option the Seahawks, Panthers, and Texans (Sorry TuAnon) that the Dolphins currently have.
He’d possibly win the job in Atlanta, too.”

SHEESH.
Ol’ Mike with the Wednesday night hot takes, aye? Especially considering the now 34-year-old QB struggled quite a bit his last few seasons in San Francisco, and hasn’t been in action since 2016.
The Tua Tagovailoa take might be the hottest, considering the young Dolphins QB led the Dolphins to a 7-1 record in their final 8 games last season.
Needless to say, the game has evolved quite a bit over the past six years.
And hell, I’m not saying Kap would be bad at all, but to begin throwing outrageous claims around like that before he’s even made an official NFL roster is wild enough in itself.
Of course, Florio’s claims drew some awesome reactions in the Twitter world:
You’re either trolling or really fucking stupid. I’m hoping it’s the latter https://t.co/0aopViCzUh

You simply do not know that until or of he even plays. It is such a joke that a QB who was never good but is some how a legend simply for his stance. He sucks at QB, I hope he does play so you fools can see that! https://t.co/Dxqf8i93gn

Colin Kaepernick is a 34 year old who hasn’t played in about six years. He has a career completion percentage under 60% and has never thrown for more than 3,400 yards and a career record of 28-30. One of the worst takes I’ve seen on this Mickey Mouse app https://t.co/qhZqlr3uOV

A QB that hasn’t played in many many year and wasn’t very good when he quit playing is better than Tua? https://t.co/xqTkbsSIdX

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 cmon now! The dudes last year in the league was when I graduated HS! For those keeping track that’s 2016! Career sub 60% completion rate. Give me a break with this nonsense. Let’s move on and stop pushing agendas that have 0.0 to do with on field play. https://t.co/eErGDjIqHU

stop. hes a backup QB tops and im glad hes going to be one, but any BS that he was a star is a lie. he deserves to play if he wants to, but lets not pretend he wasnt a really bad starter https://t.co/O9zKp6ADuX

There are Drew Lock believers — as well as Darnold Devotees and Disciples of Davis (Mills), among others — who would certainly disagree with this assessment. https://t.co/4tlVKyhUb1

Absolutely not. This is the worst take ever. https://t.co/2bEIdseyNK
