Luke Combs & Cody Johnson Team Up For “Dust On The Bottle” At Mile High Stadium

CLASSIC.

Luke Combs kicked off the first leg of his stadium series at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver last night, and it’s safe to say, he pulled out all the stops.

Performing in front of 50,000 strong, Luke brought Cody Johnson, Zach Bryan, and Morgan Wade along for the ride with him.

I was supposed to fly out myself and join the rest of the  Whiskey Riff team in Denver for the show, but unfortunately, I caught a bug, had to cancel my flight, and spent the entire weekend in bed (still bloggin’ though).

Nevertheless, I got trusty ol’ YouTube to carry me through.

At one point during the show, Luke brought out CoJo for a spirited cover of the David Lee Murphy classic, “Dust On The Bottle,” and the two crushed it.

Written and recorded by David Lee Murphy, it was released in August 1995 as the fourth single from his debut Out With A Bang album. It wound up going number one, his first and only number one until he teamed up with Kenny Chesney in 2017.

Luke will finish up his stadium series at Lumen Field in Seattle on June 4th, and finally, Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, on July 30th.

And of course, the original:
