So. Damn. Close.

According to TVLine, the Paramount Network announced today that production for Yellowstone Season 5 is officially underway in Montana, and as we know, this is gearing up to be the biggest season yet.

Season 5 will consist of 14 episodes, split up into two parts, which marks the longest season of Yellowstone to date.

With that being said, the hit TV show is expecting a late summer premiere, which was the original season premiere timeline before COVID threw off production for quite some time.

This is quite the turnaround, considering all of the shows Taylor Sheridan has on his hands at the moments, but hey, we can’t complain about an earlier premiere date.

The good news is that we know the majority of the original cast will make an appearance for Season 5, including Jimmy (Jefferson White), who is rumored to star in the upcoming Yellowstone spinoff series at the Four Sixes Ranch, alongside Walker (Ryan Bingham).

For those who need a refresher, January’s Season 4 finale rounded out with Beth and Rip’s wedding, Beth tracking down her brother Jamie to pressure him into murdering his biological father, Kayce finished up his trippy vision quest, and John was busy trying to get some hippy lady out of jail.

Also, we can’t forget about the slugfest from Mia after Jimmy came back from the Four Sixes Ranch engaged to Emily.
