Tyler Childers Delivers Deep-Cutting Performance Of “Nose On The Grindstone” For Healing Appalachia

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Tyler Childers could sing the instructions on the back of a shampoo bottle, and it would be a damn hit.

We’ve slowly been seeing more and more performance videos from his An Evening With Healing Appalachia virtual benefit concert, which raised money for projects and nonprofits to combat opioid addiction in Appalachia.

He also has an in-person Healing Appalachia concert coming this fall.

Thus far, we’ve seen him pull off an immaculate rendition of S.G. Goodman’s “Space & Time,” and also play a brand new song, “Rustin’ In The Rain.”

He also admitted that he hasn’t been touring like he used to, because, well, he likes it that way. And who can blame him? And now, with his first youngster in the way, I imagine he isn’t going to want to stray too far from home at all this year.

In his latest video, he played his deep-cutting hit “Nose On The Grindstone,” which he recorded live back in 2017 for his OurVinyl Sessions.

The song perfectly depicts the struggles that many face in the Appalachia region every day, and the lament of a father who is desperately trying to instill some wisdom into his son before it’s too late.

If you got the means, feel encouraged to drop a little in the virtual tip jar… support the cause.

And how about live from Rupp Arena back in 2020… goosebumps:
