Well this is… Odd.
Former North Carolina standout quarterback and current Washington Commanders QB Sam Howell seems like a normal dude.
He seems like a quiet guy who just goes about his business, and if you were in a room with a shit ton of people, you probably wouldn’t be able to point him out.
However, there is one thing about the guy that’s about weirder than hell…
The only meat he eats chicken, and has never had a hamburger or a steak before in his entire life.
An old interview from UNC has resurfaced of Howell giving a fun fact about himself, and sure enough, he responded by saying he’s never had a hamburger or steak before:
“People give me a hard time, but the only meat I eat is chicken. It’s been like that my whole life. I really don’t know why.
I started that when I was younger, but it’s something I’ve kind of just kept up through my whole life. Chicken is the only meat I eat, so I only go to restaurants that serve something with chicken on the menu.”
Howell’s former teammate Jeremiah Gemmel told ABC11 last year that the QB is a frequent flyer at Chick-Fil-A:
“On Sundays, after we get a win, we have a Victory Dinner. We’re sitting around eating lobster and having steak, and Sam comes in and he has his chicken tenders coming around because that’s the only thing he eats.
We give him a hard time about it every Sunday.”
Yep, Howell is probably that dude who gets dino nuggets when his friends are eating steak or burgers.
