Midland Drops Highly-Anticipated New Album, ‘The Last Resort: Greetings From’

Midland country music

Midland is BACK.

Last year, the old-school trio dropped a kickass EP titled The Last Resort, and although we’re used to hearing that old school, honky-tonk neon light sound that’ll have you picturing yourself smoking a cig in a West Texas dive bar back in the ’80s, the EP was a true display of the group’s versatility.

The EP brought us a more modern sound that’s easy on the ears, and it’s a pleasant twist in comparison to the greatness of their On The Rocks and Let It Roll albums.

With that being said, the group officially released the full album that stems from the EP, titled The Last Resort: Greetings From, and needless to say, it’s the perfect combination of their style of the past, and their style off the EP.

We’ve got boot stompers, the sweet slow ballads, the depressing tear in your beer songs, and everything in between.

The album also features “Longneck Way To Go,” the collaboration they dropped in April that features the California cowboy himself, Jon Pardi.

Here’s a few of my favorites:

“Life Ain’t Fair”

“If I Lived Here”

“King Of Saturday Night”

“Paycheck To Paycheck”
