Texas country superstar Wade Bowen was the latest guest on the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast, and talked everything from the ideal dive bar, to Eric Church canceling his show because of the UNC/Duke March Madness game, playing with Miranda Lambert, Texas Rangers baseball, the Hold My Beer project with Randy Rogers, and much more.

Last year, Bowen dropped a feel good EP titled Where Phones Don’t Work, a six-song project that he comprised during the heat of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With that being said, the country singer shared some intriguing news about even more new music in the works, as he teased the upcoming album dropping he’s dropping August 12th, titled Somewhere Between the Secret and the Truth, and he admits that it just might be the best work he’s ever done.

That’s some huge news considering the hits Bowen boasts, like “‘Til It Does,” “Who I Am,” “West Texas Rain,” “Saturday Night,” and so much more.

Also, the man admitted that he’s enjoying recording and playing music more than he ever has:

“Right now, I’m loving playing music more than I ever have, I’m loving writing it more than I ever have.

Loving seeing it, loving playing shows more than I ever have, so our theory for the last year has been write, write, write, record, record, get it out, get it out.”

He also has been talking to Randy Rogers about another installment of Hold My Beer.

A lot to be excited about in Wade’s world:
