Dave Chappelle Gets Tackled On Stage At Hollywood Bowl, Security Sends Attacker To Jail In An Ambulance

DAMN…

Apparently is went DOWN at the Hollywood Bowl last night.

Dave Chappelle was performing at the Hollywood Bowl amphitheater in Los Angeles last night as part of the Netflix Is a Joke: The Festival, taking place from April 28 to May 8th. In addition to Chapelle, other comics in the lineup included Leslie Jones, Jon Stewart, Jamie Foxx, Chris Rock, and more.

But towards the end of his set, a man in a black hoodie, sitting in the front row, rushed the stage and tackled Chappelle, knocking him down to the floor.

Security swarmed him like a pack of rabid hyenas and apparently, BEAT. HIS. ASS.

Unfortunately, phones weren’t allowed in the venue so there is limited video footage.

Here’s the moment he was tackled:

The man was later arrested, and has since been identified as Isaiah Lee. He was been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon as he had a pretend gun as well as a knife.

But here’s the kicker, the attacker left in an ambulance, with a clearly busted up arm.

WARNING: If you’re not a fan of seeing a dude with his arm on backwards… scroll on through:

Here’s some more footage of security (and other comedians) chasing him down, but afterwards, Chris Rock wasted no time getting back to the jokes. Grabbing the mic from Dave, he said:

“Was that Will Smith?”

This clip shows somebody in grey stomping on this fool…

And of course, Chappelle handled it like a champ:

“I’ve been doing this 35 years, I just stomped a n***a backstage… I’ve always wanted to do that.”
