The Arizona Cardinals will be without their star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for the first six games of the upcoming season.

The NFL suspended Hopkins for six games after violating their performance enhancing drugs (PED) policy, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Although we do not know at this time what PEDs were taken, the suspension is final, without any chance of appeal.

This is a tough loss for the Cards, as they already lost their second best wide receiver Chris Kirk to free agency.

The former Houston Texans star wracked up 572 yards and eight touchdowns last season in his second season with the Cardinals in only 10 games, as he battled a knee injury that required surgery.

He had over 1,400 receiving yards in 2020, and 10,581 total receiving yards and 68 touchdowns in his nine year NFL career.
