I’ll never get tired of hearing these two sing together.
Miranda Lambert’s 8th studio album, Palomino, is out today, and it’s absolutely fantastic.
And at her sold-out show last night at FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tennessee, Miranda surprised fans with an appearance by her best friend and Pistol Annies bandmate, Ashley Monroe.
They sang a duet of Miranda’s song “Heart Like Mine,” from her 2009 album Revolution that was a co-write between the two of them, along with Travis Howard. It was the fifth and final single from that album, and peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 2011.
Ashley posted a clip of the duet on Instagram, wishing her friend a congratulations on her new record and adding how much she loves it:
“I wanna say congratulations to my beautiful sister Miranda Lambert on yet ANOTHER masterpiece.
I LOVE this album and love YOU. Also loved ringing in album release day singing with you!”
The duo also sang the song together back in 2016 at a CMA Songwriters event in London:
