Wild Brawl Breaks Out Between The Mets And Cardinals After Nolan Arenado Nearly Got Hit In The Face

A massive brawl just broke out between the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals, after Cards thirds baseman was nearly plunked in the face by Mets pitcher Yoan Lopez.

After the EXTREMELY high and tight pitch, Arenado had some choice words for Lopez, and both benches cleared and several punches were thrown.

Arenado pushed Tomas Nido before charging the mound. In a rare instance, Mets first baseman Pete Alonso, who is known for his laid back and polite personality, was even getting into the thick of things, and can be seen screaming at opposing Cards players.

The pitch was believed to be thrown in retaliation after Mets third baseman had to leave the game in the eighth inning, after getting hit by a pitch in the left ankle.
