Morgan Wade Puts Her Own Spin Miley Cyrus’ Rockin’ Tune, “Bad Karma”

Morgan Wade country music

I’m completely convinced that Morgan Wade can sing the shit out of any song from any genre.

And she recently took a stab at Miley Cyrus’ rockin’ tune, “Bad Karma.” We’ve heard Morgan cover rock songs before, like Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire,” and Elvis Presley’s “Suspicious Minds” on her Reckless Deluxe album, and she nails it every single time.

From Miley’s 2020 7th studio album Plastic Hearts, the tune was written by Miley and Ilsey Juber Tamposi and features Joan Jett on some vocals, along with Angel Olsen on guitar. It has a very ’80s rock sound to it in terms of the production, which is why Joan was the perfect feature for the tune.

Morgan said she jumped at the chance to cover “Bad Karma” in particular because of how much Miley inspires her both as an artist and a human:

“In this world where girls are supposed to be nice, to be good, Miley Cyrus just brings it. She has so much fun doing it, and she cares about the people most people ignore or put down.

If that’s ‘Bad Karma,’ then bring it. Hope y’all dig my version of this song!”

I have to say, Miley’s music hasn’t really been my taste since Hannah Montana, but I could listen to Morgan sing the song all damn day.

Right now, her cover is an Amazon exclusive, but you can hear a preview of it here if you don’t have Amazon music:
