Turnpike Troubadours Perform “Diamonds & Gasoline” Live From Billy Bob’s Texas

Man, what a sight to see…

The Turnpike Troubadours are back in action this week, their second run of shows since the glorious end to the hiatus.

Of course, they kicked things off a couple weeks back at Cain’s Ballroom, their ol’ stompin’ grounds in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And this week, their at the iconic Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth, Texas, for three straight shows.

With support from Jonathan Terrell last night, Mike and the Moonpies tonight, and Brit Taylor tomorrow, they’re sure to give Billy Bob’s the best show they’ve seen this year.

But for those of us that couldn’t make it, and since there was tens of thousands that tried to get tickets and couldn’t, it’s probably a lot of us, we get to live vicariously through the interwebs for of Turnpike entertainment.

Shoutout to Taylor Hendrix for always being in the front row, she captured Turnpike’s performance of “Diamonds & Gasoline” from the April 21st performance, including a humbled introduction from Evan Felker himself

“These shows selling out so fast that sold out in a matter of minutes, and I thought that was so amazing, I was telling my mon and dad… she said, ‘you know it’s all bots right?’

I said, ‘I don’t know but thanks for raining on my parade,’ but I’m glad to see you’re all real people, thank you very much for making it out tonight.

This is called ‘Diamonds & Gasoline.'”

The title track from their 2010 album (perhaps the best album of the past 12 years), this might just be the best thing you see all night.
