After video footage surfaced of Mike Tyson whooping a heckler’s ass on a flight from San Francisco to Miami yesterday after he claimed the guy threw a water bottle at him, we’re starting to learn some details about the man who took the ass whoopin’.
According to TMZ, the man who got punched on the JetBlue flight is Melvin Townsend III, and it turns out he has quite the criminal background.
He’s been convicted of fraud, grand theft, burglary, possession of controlled substances, and trafficking in stolen property. The 36-year-old reportedly broke onto a property back in 2018 and stole a trailer that he had hitched to his pickup.
The drug possession was for oxycodone, and he served jail time twice, one for 20 months, and another 15-month stint.
Looks like this guy has a long history of “playing stupid games and winning stupid prizes.”
