Miranda Lambert And Elle King’s “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” Becomes First Solo Female Duet To Reach #1 In Almost 30 Years

Miranda Lambert et al.

You love to see it.

Miranda Lambert and Elle King officially have the #1 song at country radio this week with their duet, “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home”.

Co-written by Elle and Martin Johnson, it’s a tribute to staying out till dawn and drinking the night away, albeit, it does have a bit more of an alternative and rock sound than it does country.

But, it is a really fun track that’s had a steady climb up the charts since they released it last February.

It’s also the first solo female duet to reach #1 at country radio since “Does He Love You” by Reba and Linda Davis in 1993… almost 30 years ago. It’s Miranda’s 10th #1 and Elle’s second.

Miranda and Elle recently joined the duo that is Ashley McBryde and Carly Pearce to have the first two all-female collaborations enter the top 10 at country radio ever in country music.

And this weekend, “Drunk” hit #1 on the Mediabase Country Airplay Chart, which is one of two charts labels use to officially track their songs performance:

A huge congratulations to Elle and Miranda… this #1 celebration party stands to be pretty wild if it’s anything like the music video (and with these two, I’d be willing to bet that’s gonna be a lot like it):
