Beer and baseball, they go together better than anything on this planet.
With that being said, the MLB and Budweiser is partnering to give us all custom made cans of 14 of our favorite teams.
According to NBC Sports, the partnership is aimed to bring back the spirit of camaraderie with baseball’s return.
The cans made their debut yesterday on Opening Day, and the limited-edition cans will continue to feature a variety of MLB teams.
Vice President of Budweiser Ricardo Marques weighed in on the new release:
“Baseball and the culture it created is a true celebration of the American spirit.
This year, we wanted to leverage our long-standing partnership with MLB to raise a toast to the fans by giving them a piece of their hometown to enjoy right in the palm of their hand with our MLB designed team cans.”
The cans will feature 14 teams, including the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays, Texas Rangers, and Washington Nationals.
Budweiser and the MLB have been partners for 30-years, and MLB Executive and Vice President of Business Noah Garden weighed in on the partnership, along with the new custom cans:
“Budweiser has been a great MLB partner for a long time and continually evolves its marketing connected to our sport.
These custom-designed cans are another terrific example of Bud’s support and their ability to connect with our fans.”
I’ve said it a thousand times before, and I’ll say it again…
There’s something about drinking an ice cold beer from a new can that makes it taste that much better.
