Riley Green at ‘Dega?

It simply doesn’t get any better than that…

He’s set to headline the Saturday Night Infield Concert on April 23rd at Talladega Superspeedway ahead of the Cup Series GEICO 500 race that kicks off at 2pm on Sunday.

Of course, as an Alabama native and NASCAR fan who was born not too far from Talladega in Jacksonville, Alabama, he’s pumped to play there again on race weekend:

“Playing at the Talladega Superspeedway in 2019 was a dream come true for me. Ever since I was a kid, we would drive down to the racetrack on Saturday for the concert that night and stay for the Sunday race.

Some of my favorite memories as a kid were watching Dale Earnhardt Sr. with my granddaddy on Sunday afternoons. I am really looking forward to getting the opportunity to come back again and play at that iconic place.”

Riley often references his love for Dale Sr. and NASCAR in songs like “Bury Me In Dixie” and “Numbers On The Cars”, so it’s sure to be one helluva show.

Seeing a race at Talladega is still on my bucket list, and seeing Riley play there puts it pretty close to the top…

He headlined the show for the first time back in 2019:

He sang Jamey Johnson’s “In Color” at that concert, too, and it truly doesn’t get any more Alabama than that:
