It’s Opening Day, And It’s Time To Bring Back Trace Adkins’ God-Awful “Swing”

It’s the best time of the year for baseball fans across the country…

IT’S MF’N OPENING DAY.

After this long lockout this past offseason, I was really beginning to wonder if we’d be watching baseball on April 7th, or even any baseball at all this season.

Nevertheless, the MLB and the MLB Players Association agreed to a deal, and baseball is officially BACK.

With that being said, I thought I’d bring back one of the wildest baseball songs the country music world has ever seen… we’re talking about “Swing” by Trace Adkins.

Trace Adkins has a number of great songs, hits like “Every Light In The House,” “You’re Gonna Miss This” and more. And he also has God-awful, heaping piles of garbage.

Songs like his new single “Brown Chicken Brown Cow,” “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” and of course, this one, “Swing.” And what shocking is that some of his worst songs were written by some of the best in the business.

Jamey Johnson co-wrote “Badonkadonk,” “Ladies Love Country Boys,” and “I Got My Game One,” meanwhile “Swing,” was written by, believe it or not… Chris Stapleton and Frank Rogers.

The song marries the idea striking out on three straight pitches to striking out with a girl at the bar, and while it’s pretty terrible, it just might be what you need to get your blood pumping for the start of the season.

Happy Opening Day.
