Joshua Hedley Drops Fantastic Rendition Of Roger Miller’s “River In The Rain”

Joshua Hedley has done it again.

After bringing us an old-school Countrypolitan sound on his 2018 debut album Mr. Jukebox, the man has kicked it up a notch, as he’s gearing up to drop a full-blown ’90s country album, titled Neon Blue.

His first two singles from the album, “Neon Blue” and “Broke Again,” will take you in a time machine straight back to 1995.

The songs are both two-steppin’ honky-tonkin’ boot stompers, as Hedley proves that there are still artists out in Nashville committed to keeping the traditional country sound alive and well.

With that being said, the man has dropped the third single from the project last week, titled “River In The Rain,” which was originally written by Roger Miller in 1985, and also covered by Allison Krauss.

This one is more of a slow-paced ballad, full of steel and acoustics, putting full emphasis on Hedley’s vocals and that gorgeous songwriting.

Man, this album is gonna be damn good.

Neon Blue is set to drop on April 22nd.
