Throwback To Matthew McConaughey’s Inspiring Best Actor Speech From The 2014 Oscars

I could listen to Matthew McConaughey talk for hours.

And in the past year, with the release of his new memoir Greenlights, we pretty much did.

He made appearances on just about every news channel, every talk show, every podcast…  from shutting down a reporter with trap questions about Trump, to explaining how his dad died mid-sexual intercourse… we learned a lot about McConaughey these past year.

He even had a powerful conversation about religion with Joe Rogan.

And all that being said, with the Oscars on tonight, I always come back to the wisdom of his Best Actor acceptance speech from the 86th Annual Academy Awards in 2014.

“There’s a few things, about three things to my account, that I need each day.

One of them is something to look up to, another is something to look forward to, and another is someone to chase.”

And to that I say… alright, alright, alright.
