Morgan Wade Releases Music Video For The Sultry “Take Me Away”

Morgan Wade has a brand new music video out today.

From her debut 2021 album Reckless, she just released the video for her sultry song, “Take Me Away.”

Written by Morgan, it’s easily the most vulnerable song on the track list, and stands out for the fact that it’s a much softer take on love than a lot of the other songs on the record.

For the music video, similar to the production on the song, she keeps it pretty simple, where you see shots of her in an old house singing to the camera and eventually running through a field outside.

“Making videos, especially ones that aren’t so literal, gives people other tastes and flavours – and room for their own story.

It pulls them into the music, both the song and what this whole album is, because the pieces together show you all the ways someone can be broken down, can desire, can engage… that’s a bigger truth than any one song.”

Of course, her gritty and powerful vocals shine here (per the usual), and she even reveals a lot of the tattoos on her chest in some of the scenes, as she strips down more than we’ve ever seen her for parts of the video, which fits perfectly for this song and concept.

In my opinion, Morgan can really do no wrong, and this is just another example:

Morgan also recently did some front porch pickin’ and shared an acoustic version of her current single, “Wilder Days.”
