Miranda Lambert And Wade Bowen Do Surprise Performance Of “Miami, My Amy” At The Exit/In Last Night

Miranda Lambert country music

Wade Bowen brought out a special guest at his show at the famous Exit/In in Nashville last night.

His fellow Texan, Miranda Lambert, showed up to play a little of the late, great Keith Whitley’s classic “Miami, My Amy” with him for the crowd.

Originally written by Dean Dillon, Hank Cochran and Royce Porter, Keith included the song as the second single from his 1985 album L.A. To Miami.

Even though it only peaked at #14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, it’s one of Keith’s all-time great songs. And hearing two talents like Wade and Miranda play it together? It simply doesn’t get any better than that.

Charlie Worsham, Lee Roy Parnell and Rhett Akins were all there as well, and it looks like it was a helluva time for a regular old Wednesday night.

You just never know who’s gonna show up in Nashville:

And of course, the timeless original:
