Kelly Clarkson Breaks Out The ’90s Heaters For ‘Kellyoke,’ Sings Terry Clark’s “Better Things To Do”

Kelly Clarkson is pullin’ out the ’90s heaters this week for Kellyoke.

She covered Terri Clark’s “Better Things To Do,” and per the usual, she crushed it. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it a thousand more times, we need Kelly to do some sort of country album. Her voice is just too damn good and every single country cover she’s ever done has been phenomenal.

Of course, she’s covered tons of classics over the years on her show, like Willie Nelson’s “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain”, Travis Tritt’s “Here’s A Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)”, Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”, and more recently, she absolutely crushed a cover of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”.

“Better Things To Do” was co-written by Terri along with Tom Shapiro and Chris Waters, and was released in 1995 as both her debut single and the lead single to her self-titled debut album. It was a top 10 hit on both the U.S. and Canadian country charts, where it peaked at number 3 on both.

And if watching Kelly belt this out isn’t a great way to start a Tuesday morning, I don’t know what is:
