Yellowstone’s Gil Birmingham, AKA Thomas Rainwater, Shreds A Cover Of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Pride & Joy”

Thomas Rainwater can pick.

Gil Birmingham is an accomplished actor who’s primarily known for his role as Tribal Chairman Thomas Rainwater in the Paramount Network’s television series Yellowstone.

However, you can find him in other Taylor Sheridan projects including Wind River, Hell or Highwater, as well as in the Twilight Saga, and more.

But he also knows his way around the guitar.

Back in 2010, at the Native American Music Awards, Gil joined New York blues picker Jimmy Wolf for a cover of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Pride & Joy.”

And he crushed it.

Released in 1983, “Pride & Joy” was the lead single from SRV’s 1983 album, Texas Flood.

Between Grammy-winning musician Ryan Bingham (who plays Walker), Kevin Costner having his own band Modern West, Gil being a pretty good blues picker, and Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton) looking to kickstart his career in country music, it sounds like Yellowstone has a one hellvua company band in the works.
