Ray Wylie Hubbard Releases ‘Co-Starring Too,’ Featuring Willie Nelson, Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers, And More

Ray Wylie Hubbard country music

The wait is no more.

Ray Wylie Hubbard has officially dropped his highly anticipated album, Co-Starring Too, featuring some of the most iconic singers/songwriters in the Texas music/red dirt scene… and music scene in general.

We’re talking Willie Nelson, The Bluebonnets, Hayes Carll, Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers, Cody Canada, Wynonna Judd, Charlie Sexton, Ringo Star, and many more.

He weighed in on his expectations for the project:

“It’s that funky sexy cool thing, I’m chasing. But also, that groovy, gritty place where life gets real, mistakes get made and sometimes souls get saved.

If we can do that, have some fun with music people that I dig, then we’ve done it. And I think we have.”

Judging from what I’ve heard from the album thus far, he hits the nail on the head with that comment.

He lit the fire with lead single “Hellbent for Leather” featuring Steve Earle, which had us all respecting our roots.

With that being said, the amount of features on this album has a ton of potential in itself.

The album is full of grit, hardships and sadness, triumph and redemption, and it’s easy to see that personal life experiences are shared with every song.

Here’s a few favorites:

“Fancy Boys” featuring Hayes Carll, James McMurtry, and Dalton Domino

“Wheels Fall Off” featuring Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers, Cody Canada
