Kelly Clarkson Does Flawless Rendition Of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”

Kelly Clarkson is delivering another fantastic cover of a Dolly Parton song.

She recently honored the queen of country at the ACM Awards last week with a stunning rendition of “I Will Always Love You”, and today, she’s bringing it with a cover of “Jolene” on her Kellyoke segment.

Kelly covers country songs quite often on her show, too, and has done tons of classics over the years like Willie Nelson’s “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain”, Travis Tritt’s “Here’s A Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)” and even Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”, among plenty of other great ones.

And every single time, she nails it… her voice is just a once in a lifetime voice, and I would seriously listen to her sing the phone book if I could.

I say it every time I write about Kelly signing a country song, but I really hope she’ll consider doing a real deal country album one day.

I mean, c’mon, this is proof that it would wipe the floor with 90% of mainstream country these days:
