I Just Realized Kevin Costner And Ian Bohen, AKA Ryan From ‘Yellowstone,’ Both Played Wyatt Earp In The 1994 Movie

I’ll be the first to admit it, I have denied watching the 1994 Wyatt Earp movie my entire life for absolutely no reason at all.

I know, I know, shame on me…

However, last night it all changed for me and I finally gave in, and I gotta admit…

That is one badass movie.

The western documents the life of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp, from his childhood, all the way to his efforts of keeping the streets of Dodge City, Kansas, and Tombstone, Arizona clean.

For those who don’t know, the movie stars the man himself, Kevin Costner as Earp, who we all know and love as John Dutton from Yellowstone.

Needless to say, the man can play the cowboy role to a tee, so it probably felt like second nature for him when he transitioned to playing John Dutton, as Earp and Dutton’s characters are very similar in some ways (of course, just fast forwarding 150 years).

With that being said, I discovered that another cast member from Yellowstone played on the movie as well, and you probably would’ve never realized it.

Ian Bohen, who plays the quiet ranch hand Ryan on Yellowstone, also portrayed a young Wyatt Earp in the movie.

Of course, he would’ve only been 17-years-old during the movie, and I wouldn’t have even realized it was him until I saw his name in the credits.

Nevertheless, it’s still pretty wild to know that this isn’t the first time Costner and Bohen have worked together on the same movie, and even crazier that they both portray the same character.
