Talk about a wild week in the NFL.

Yesterday, news broke that Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley had been suspended indefinitely for betting on NFL games, and today, we learned that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has agreed to a four year, $200 million contract, making him the highest paid player in NFL history.

With that being said, the news doesn’t end there.

Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will be traded to the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN.

Sources say that Denver is willing to give a significant package to Seattle for Wilson, and the quarterback is expected to waive his no-trade clause, which will allow him to be traded to Denver.

Denver general manager George Paton reportedly initiated trade talks seeking after Wilson at least two weeks ago, and it was rumored that Aaron Rodgers might be their guy.

However, it appears that Wilson has been their guy all along, and their decision has nothing to do with Rodgers’ decision to stay in Green Bay. The trade will give the Broncos what they’ve been looking for since the retirement of Peyton Manning, as they haven’t had a standout quarterback since.

I have to say, it’s gonna be weird not seeing Russell Wilson in Seattle, considering the man has spent 10 years there.

Nevertheless, this is gonna be a big time game changer for Denver.
