HE’S A DAPA DANDY.

It’s no secret that Dick Vitale is arguably the most electric basketball announcer to ever walk this planet, and he’s been that way for more than 40 years.

His kindness and unwavering enthusiasm and love for the game of basketball is incredibly rare, and it’s always gonna be a fun night when he’s calling games.

Needless to say, the sports world loves him, and it broke all of our hearts to hear that the 82-year-old was diagnosed with lymphoma.

Of course, that didn’t keep him out of the booth, as he made his return to calling games last year until he had to take a break for the rest of the season, after suffering from a serious throat injury.

Throughout the trials and tribulations he’s faced here recently, he’s maintained a great attitude.

With that being said, the man brought us some of the best news we’ve heard in a long time today…

He announced that he’s CANCER FREE.

He tweeted out:

“OMG ALL THE PRAYERS many of u have sent have been answered as DR Brown who heads my cancer TEAM called & said PET SCAN came back that NO CANCER is showing.

I feel like a coach playing for the Final 4 has a PTPer hit a shot at the buzzer. My MARCH MADNESS starts with a W baby !”

You can’t help but read that who tweet in his voice, but damn that’s awesome news.

Now he can focus on healing his throat injury, and hopefully make a return as good as new for next season.
