Morgan Wallen’s ‘Dangerous’ Record Lands In Top 10 Of IFPI Global Album All Format Chart For 2021

Morgan Wallen is continuing to dominate music charts and sales, not just here in America, but all over the world.

His 2021 double album, Dangerous, already finished as the best selling albums of 2021 here in America, and it also landed in the top 10 globally, according to the IFPI.

Every year, they calculate album sales that encompasses all streaming, physical copies, and digital downloads to get a fair measurement on which records were the top sellers from each given year:

“The Global Album All Format Chart takes into account all consumption formats, spanning physical sales, digital downloads, and streaming platforms across a calendar year. It is weighted based on the relative value of each method of consumption.”

And this week, they released the top 10 albums from last year, taking into consideration records from all over the world. Morgan officially came in at #9 on the Top 10 Global Album All Format Chart 2021, the only country album in the top 10 among mostly other pop artists.

Not shockingly, Adele’s 30 record landed in the #1 spot, with Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR and Justin Bieber’s Justice coming in second and third, respectively.

Morgan is continuing to sell an incredible amount of tickets on his Dangerous tour, in addition to putting up insane numbers in terms of album sales, but it’s pretty impressive that he was able to land a top 10 spot among nine other mega pop stars from all over the world (Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and Doja Cat also made the list with their 2021 albums).

Morgan’s song “Sand in my Boots” also just reached the top spot on country radio, and his next single, “Wasted On You”, will impact on Monday… the Dangerous Sessions version is still the best, though:
