Chase Elliott = BIG Eric Church guy.

Last night Eric Church’s Gather Again Tour was in NASCAR’s back yard with a stop at Spectrum Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina.

And during his performance of “Talladega,” a fan handed Eric a flag of NASCAR’s most popular driver, Chase Elliott.

Well apparently Chase Elliott is a pretty big Eric Church guy himself.

And when he found out that Church was holding his flag onstage, Elliott had some high praise for Chief, calling him “the GOAT.”

The fans who handed Church the flag saw Chase’s tweet and responded that they intend to give the driver the signed flag when they’re able to see him in person.

Of course being in NASCAR country Elliott’s wasn’t the only flag that Church was handed last night. After signing the Chase Elliott flag (or “the proper flag,” as Chase called it) he was then handed a “Raise Hell, Praise Dale” flag, as well as another featuring Dale Earnhardt’s black #3.

That’ll get you fired up for race day.
