It’s been a long time coming, but the highly-anticipated Elvis biopic is HERE.
There’s been talk of an Elvis Presley biopic for years now, but Baz Luhrmann’s movie is finally set to hit theaters on June 24, 2022.
Austin Butler (Once Upon A Time In Hollywood) will take on the role of Elvis, reportedly beating out Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, and even Harry Styles for the role, while the great Tom Hanks will play Elvis’ manager Colonel Tom Parker.
Australian actress Olivia DeJonge will star as Elvis’ wife Priscilla.
The plot will span his childhood, growing up in Tupelo, Mississippi, all the way through his legendary rock ‘n roll career, all the way up until his death at iconic estate, Graceland.
Director Baz Luhrmann is also responsible for visually intriguing films like Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby, and Romeo + Juliet.
