Kelly Clarkson Intends To Legally Change Name To Kelly Brianne: “More Fully Reflects Who I Am”

Kelly Clarkson has been looking for a fresh slate here lately, as she’s in the midst of a brutal divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

And when I say fresh start, I mean a fresh start with everything, including her name.

According to Us Weekly, the singer and media personality stated that she has “a desire” to make her middle name her last name, Brianne, via court documents filed Monday.

She explained:

“My new name more fully reflects who I am.”

A court hearing regarding the petition is slated for March 28th.

Regarding the ongoing divorce, the two have been deemed legally single since August 2021. The two initially filed for divorce in June 2020 after almost seven years of marriage.

She has been granted primary custody of their two children, while Blackstock was given a percentage of their stunning Montana ranch.

She had initially won the home property last October, but Blackstock argued that it was “marital property,” and not part of their prenuptial agreement.

Clarkson lost her request that Blackstock be evicted from the ranch last December.

Last July, she was ordered to pay Blackstock almost $200,000 a month in spousal and child support.

A Los Angeles County judge ordered that Clarkson will give $150,000 per month to Blackstock for spousal support, plus an $45,601 in child support. So we’re pretty close to $200,000… a MONTH.

This means that Blackstock will receive roughly a total of $2.4 million a year.

But wait, there’s more… Clarkson will also pay $1.25 million for her husband’s attorney fees. That’s right people, Brandon Blackstock is looking at roughly $3.6 MILLION dollars this year… just for getting divorced.

Helluva view though…
