Well, that’s one way to do it…
In an effort to promote their new body positive line of sports bras (we’re talking over 70 different sizes and styles), Adidas tweeted out a picture of… a bunch naked boobs?
Yup… not a sports bra in sight…
“We believe women’s breasts in all shapes and sizes deserve support and comfort.
Which is why our new sports bra range contains 43 styles, so everyone can find the right fit for them.”
WARNING: NSFW
(We added the pixilation, sorry).
When asked why they didn’t actually include any of the products in the photo, they responded in a number of different tweets:
“We want to celebrate bodies in all their glory and proudly showcase how different we all are.”
“Breasts are a natural part of the anatomy. It’s time to remove the stigma to allow future generations to flourish.”
“We are happy to celebrate that and won’t be taking this down so we can keep doing so.”
Needless to say, the ad worked… because the Twitterverse is definitely talking:
Will you show us penises too (circumcised and uncircumcised) of different shapes and sizes for the pant/boxer set?

I’m all for boobies and positivity but like … what are they selling? Shouldn’t it at least show how their “body positive” bras support all different kinds of boobies? Or is this just another shock ad designed only to generate revenue by using women’s bodies? exhausting

Would you do this with men’s genitals?
Is this ad directed towards men?
