It’s gonna be strange watching NFL football nowadays, knowing that Tom Brady won’t be at the helms of any teams now that he’s officially announced his retirement.

Seriously, for a lot of us youngins, we’ve only known NFL football with Brady in it.

He’s gotten a lot of love from several of his colleagues, former teammates and opponents, and celebrities alike after the announcement… and one of those guys?

Kenny Chesney.

He posted a picture on Instagram with the GOAT toting his six Super Bowl rings (pic must’ve been taken before last year when he got his seventh), and in typical Kenny Chesney “inspirational” fashion, he said:

“Very proud of my friend Tom Brady. You inspired us all with your work ethic and passion. Congrats pal.”

Gotta love it.

Chesney is known for his friendships with legendary NFL quarterbacks, particularly Peyton Manning, who was the former quarterback of Chesney’s favorite college team, the Tennessee Volunteers.

And we can’t forget this hidden gem when the country singer brought Manning on stage to sing “Back Where I Come From.”

But since we’re talking about Tommy Touchdowns here, it’s only right if we end this post with Kenny Chesney’s “Boston.”

(Even if Tom won’t thank the Patriots in his retirement speech).
