William Clark Green has been stirring some buzz on social media here over the past few days…

He posted a short clip outside of a diner a couple days ago, along with a couple of drawn pictures of a few kids outside of what appears to be a hotel, and we knew something was in the works.

And sure enough, there is.

Green has officially announced his sixth album titled Baker Hotel, slated to drop on March 25th, along with new single “All You Got,” dropping at midnight tonight.

Besides his work with the Texas country supergroup The Panhandlers, we haven’t gotten any new music from the guy since his 2018 album, Hebert Island.

He admits that he’s been taking this time to re-prioritize and challenge himself and his sound, and the reflection has created Baker Hotel.

He weighed in on the new record:

“What this record means to me is self-reflection, realizing that I just turned 35 and it’s like, ‘Where am I at in life? Where do I want to be? Where did I think I would be?’

Not being able to work during the lockdown, I had a lot of time to sit and think about myself, and what’s really locking me down, and that’s what I think this record is about.”

The project will consist of a unique combination of indie rock, what Green calls “swampy country,” southern rock, and traditional western ballads, diving deep into his “personal convictions, optimism, doubt, and raw truth.”

Needless to say, this record is one to keep an eye on.
