My God, I love the ManningCast.
Raw, unscripted, an undefeated curse, drunk Marshawn Lynch cussin up a storm… how anyone is watching the regular broadcast is beyond me.
Tonight, for the NFC Wild Card matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams, Peyton and Eli brought in the great Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Russell Wilson.
And we’re not even to halftime yet and we already having some hilarious technical difficulties.
With a few minutes left in the first quarter Eli sends it over to Peyton for his analysis on the last touchdown, and a hot mic catches Peyton saying:
“I can’t hear shit.”
To which Eli casually responds:
“Nevermind…”
I mean, if that isn’t all of us on Zoom over the past two years, I don’t know what is.
Later in the broadcast, Peyton was seemingly made aware of it, and alluded to the fact that his excitement made the mic fail:
“I got so excited by the fade route to Odell”
Unfortunately, this will be the last ManningCast of the year, but if ESPN has half a lick of sense, they’ll bring these two back for every single game next year.
