Georgia’s Nakobe Dean Wears Alabama Hat After National Championship Win & The Internet Had A Field Day

Nakobe Dean

You had ONE job.

I don’t know who is actually in charge of handing out the hats and t-shirts after any sort of championship game, but I do know that the most important thing is that you give the players and coaches the correct stuff.

After Georgia’s big win over Alabama last night in the college football national championship game, several Georgia players were seen celebrating at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis in the wrong hats.

I mean, how the hell does that even happen?

It’s no secret that they make hats and shirts with both teams on them, because clearly you don’t actually know who’s gonna end up winning the game. And of course, it was a close game with Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett leading the Dawgs to a 33-18 victory after more than 40 years since they last took home a Natty trophy.

But, a picture of Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean (along with several other players) wearing a hat that was made in the event the Alabama Crimson Tide secured a victory went viral during the postgame celebrations:

And the internet ran wild with the misstep:

Eventually, all the players made it up to the podium to lift the national championship trophy with the right hats on:
