It’s there was any doubt that Yellowstone is the hottest thing on TV, you can put that to bed. The show continuously topples previous ratings records season after season.

And now, after the Season 4 finale, it has done it again.

According to Deadline, the show hit a new series high with 9.3 million viewers on cable alone, blowing the Season 4 premiere record out of the water which was at 8 million. That 9.3 million mark is also up 81%, compared to the Season 3 finale, which garnered 5.2 million.

It’s the largest audience on cable since The Walking Dead’s Season 8 premiere in 2017.

Yellowstone is officially the leading series in 2021 across all platforms, from broadcast, cable, and premium.

Chris McCarthy, President and CEO of ViaComCBS Media Network, said:

“Yellowstone continues to shatter records with more than 11 million viewers tuning into the season finale, proving we’ve hit a cultural nerve– from the center of the country to each of the coasts– and still have lots of room to grow on linear.

Our strategy to franchise ‘Yellowstone’ into a universe of series to fuel growth for Paramount+ is already exceeding expectations with ‘1883’ and ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ proving to be two of the top titles.”

With 1883 already drawing a huge audience, as well as the upcoming 6666 spinoff, Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone universe isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Go behind the scenes of the Season 4 finale with Kevin Costner (John Dutton), Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton), Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler), and more.
