Did you know it was perfectly fine to mail a potato?
Yeah, neither did I…
All you have to do is simply put a stamp on that bad boy and throw it in the mailbox.
Why would one want to do this? I will never know.
Maybe you have a friend who is obsessed with collecting different kinds of potatoes, and they’re desperate for one so ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
With that being said, you can only imagine what a mailman’s reaction would be to look inside a mailbox, and see a good ol’ famous Idaho spud sitting in there waiting to be shipped out.
This one dude in Springboro, Ohio, had the grand idea to experiment with it.
He said in a statement to Viral Hog:
“I had heard you could mail a potato as is. So, I had to try it. I work from home and my office overlooks the mailbox, so naturally, I had to get the mailman’s reaction.
The potato did in fact make it through to the end recipient who lives about five minutes away from me.”
In the video, you see the mailman pull up, and look inside the mailbox with the most confused look on his face.
I can only imagine him thinking:
“What in the fiddler’s fuck is this nonsense?”
Sure enough, he throws the potato in the pile of other mail, and pulls away.
C’mon, this is some serious dad humor right here.
