It Rained Fish In Texas For The Perfect Way To End The Weirdest Year Ever

Texarkana Fish

Well, this is actually insane…

As a native of South Carolina, I could’ve gone my entire life without knowing something like this exists.

Texarkana, a town located in East Texas, went through one of the rarest weather phenomena you’ve ever heard of, or most likely, never heard of.

According to KSAT ABC 12, Texarkana residents began noticing some loud noises hitting their roofs as it poured down rain.

And to their surprise, it wasn’t hail…

It was fish. Yes, fish…

The City of Texarkana posted this simple message on Facebook back on December 29th:

“2021 is pulling out all the tricks… including raining fish in Texarkana today. And no, this isn’t a joke.”

Apparently, this rare weather phenomenon is known as “animal rain,” where small animals such as bats, fish, snakes, birds, frogs and more get sucked up a waterspout, and come back down when it begins to rain.

The heavier objects get dumped first, with the lighter objects falling behind.

Imagine trying to run back into your home while it’s pissing rain, and you get smacked upside the head with a fish?

I mean, what’re the odds?

Sounds like a PG version of Sharknado
