Brandi Carlile And Miley Cyrus Bring The House Down Singing “The Climb” On ‘Miley’s New Years Eve Party’

DAMN.

Miley Cyrus and Brandi Carlile make one hell of a pair.

They performed together on Miley’s New Year’s Eve last night and those two can SING.

I don’t think I was expecting to enjoy them as a duo as much as I did, especially because performances on these types of New Year’s Eve shows tend to be lackluster at best. Consider this the exception… they brought the house down with a couple of their best songs.

Of course, if you were a fan of the Disney show Hannah Montana back in the day (I’ll go ahead and shamelessly admit to you that I was), then you know “The Climb”.

Written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe, the striking ballad about taking life as it comes and not racing to get where you want to be was originally released in 2009 as the lead single for Hannah Montana: The Movie.

They also sang “The Story,” which was the title track to Brandi’s 2007 album, and Miley called one of her favorite songs of all time:

“How lucky am I that I get to bring in 2022 singing one of my favorite songs of all time with one of my favorite artists of all time.

It’s chicks like her that make me wanna do what I do.”

Happy New Year and cheers to a great 2022, y’all:
