Let’s face it, nothing will top The Dark Knight when it comes to Batman movies.
From the incredible acting of the late Heath Ledger as Joker, and Christian Bale as Batman, you were on the edge of your seat the entire time. And even when you thought the movie was over… it wasn’t.
The darkness, the violence, it was Batman unlike we’ve ever seen it before.
Even Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises, the two other films in the trilogy, simply can’t keep up with the masterpiece that is, The Dark Knight.
Although the recent Batman movies have struggled to reach the same kind of critical acclimation that The Dark Knight received, this upcoming The Batman movie may finally give it a run for its money.
The movie features Batman and Catwoman facing off against Riddler and Penguin, and the new trailer for it looks absolutely nuts.
“In his second year of fighting crime, Batman uncovers corruption in Gotham City that connects to his own family while facing a serial killer known as the Riddler.”
The cast is as follows:
Robert Pattinson takes on the role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Peter Sarsgaard as District Attorney Gil Colson.
I’ll admit that it’s hard to picture Edward Pattinson, the guy from Twilight as Batman, but this movie looks DAMN good.
The movie is slated to hit theaters in the United States on March 4, 2022.
