Eric Church Sings “Joy To The World” For The White House’s ‘Spirit Of The Season’ Christmas Special

Eric Church country music

Eric Church brought a little bit of country to the White House, just in time for Christmas.

Last night, he appeared on the PBS Spirit of the Season special, along with other musical guests like Andrea Bocelli, Camila Cabello, Jonas Brothers, Pentatonix and more.

The special showcased different rooms in the White House, along with all of the stunning Christmas decorations, and Eric sang the traditional hymn “Joy To The World” in the Green Room, which is one of three state parlors on the first floor.

According to host Jennifer Garner, “Joy To The World” is the most performed Christmas song of the 20th and 21st century. It was written in 1719 as an English hymn, but has become a classic Christmas song all over the world.

The great Joanna Cotten even made an appearance on the show singing with Eric.

Nothing gets me in the Christmas spirit quite like hearing Eric singin’ a classic… he starts around the 22:25 mark:
