Brent Cobb Releases Gospel Classic, “Just A Closer Walk With Thee,” From Upcoming Album, ‘And Now, Let’s Turn To Page…’

Brent Cobb got it feeling like Sunday service over here.

Back in October, he delivered the news that he would be dropping a full on gospel album on January 28th, titled And Now, Let’s Turn To Page…

Since the announcement, he’s dropped three moving songs that’ll be featured on the album with “We Shall Rise,” “When It’s My Time,” and his latest one. “Just a Closer Walk with Thee,” which dropped today.

Talk about a song that will bring you a peace of mind.

Cobb reflected on the new track:

“It’s always been a song that made me feel at peace. It was the first song that we found the groove on for this album, and I wanted to release it now because ‘tis the season after all.”

The song is one of the oldest hymns to date, and although there’s no past record on when it was first written, it’s believed that the song dates back to the 1800s.

Since then, several country stars have covered the hymn, including George Jones, Alabama, Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, and Randy Travis.
