Deep breaths people, deep breaths…
As myself and many others suspected, Turnpike Troubadours have added a SECOND show at the glorious Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, next year.
Set for Sunday May 15th, 2022, the show will also feature opening performances from Shovels & Rope, as well as Reckless Kelly.
After the absolute firestorm of attention the first show (May 14th) garnered, it was only a matter of time before they added a second show, but that still doesn’t necessarily give fans any comfort about the ability to secure tickets.
Among social media comments, personal friends, Turnpike message boards and Facebook groups… it just kind of seemed like nobody was able to get tickets. Nobody I know personally was able to get them, and a whole lot damn sure tried.
Tickets immediately appeared on secondary markets for astronomical prices, sometimes well over a $1,000 per ticket.
It’s great to these fellas drawing such a demand, Lord knows they deserve it, but I just hope us fans can get to the tickets before the bots, scalpers, and the resellers do. Remember, Turnpike doesn’t get a dime of that upcharge.
Tickets go on sale this Friday… may the odds be ever in your favor.
