Trailer For New Documentary, ‘The Murder of Gabby Petito: Truth, Lies and Social Media,’ Is Here & It’s Heartbreaking

Exactly two months after the discovery of Gabby Petito’s body, the social media influencer who was killed by her fiancé Brian Laundrie while they were on a cross country trip, we now have a documentary that is in the works.

Peacock has released a trailer for the upcoming documentary, titled The Murder of Gabby Petito: Truth, Lies, and Social Media, slated for December 17th.

From what we’ve gathered so far, it’s a documentary based off the point of view from Gabby’s parents, along with investigators, and other people who were involved in the search for the 22-year-old.

In part, it will take a further dive into the relationship between Gabby and Brian, talking about red flags in the relationship that could’ve been a telling sign that something bad was bound to happen, regardless of how the couple appeared on social media.

It will also talk about the search effort, and how they were able to track down Petito’s body.

“The disappearance of 22-year-old Gabby Petito gripped America and galvanized the internet as the case unfolded on social media.

The new Peacock Original documentary The Murder of Gabby Petito: Truth, Lies and Social Media premiering December 17 and produced by ITN Productions sheds new light on the tragic story, the unanswered questions and the shocking conclusion.

In their first documentary interview, Gabby’s parents reflect on the life of their daughter, sharing childhood memories including exclusive photos and details that we never knew before.”
