Arlo McKinley and Logan Halstead…
Arlo, an Ohio-native, is one of the most talented and captivating songwriters in the business right now, and his 2020 album Die Midwestern found its way near the top of many year-end “best” lists, including our own Top 25 Country Albums list here at Whiskey Riff.
And Logan Halstead, a youngster out of West Virginia, you’d never know he was barely out of high school after hearing the quality of the songs he’s written.
With poignant, sometimes gut-wrenching stories from growing up surrounded by nothing but coal mines and drugs, the depth of Logan’s songwriting is wise beyond its years.
However today, we’re here with both Logan and Arlo, performing an acoustic duet of “Back Home,” an unreleased tune set to appear on Arlo’s upcoming album.
No word on when that new album is set to arrive but if this is any indication, we’re in for something special.
