Put Kyle Larson’s name into the history books.

The 29-year-old Hendrick Motorsports driver just secured his first career NASCAR Cup Series Championship.

Putting together a monstrous 10-win season, Kyle Larson took the checkered flag today at Phoenix Raceway, beating out Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, and last year’s winner, Chase Elliott.

I mean, the good money was always on Kyle Larson today…. he’s been so dominant this entire season, and when he had to rise to occasion, he did.

Gotta give credit to the pit crew though, they delivered an incredible change with about 20 laps to go and got him in the position to jump ahead on the final restart.

A word from the champ:

Helluva season for the #5 team.
